Some background info:
Graduated in 1998 with a degree in translation studies (German, English and Russian) from the University of Vienna, Austria, and also spent a year at Dublin City University, Ireland (1994/95) with the Erasmus programme. Started working as a freelance translator in 1994 - and loved it! Managing director and general partner of the "translation network" company between 1997 and 2007. Now freelancing again, as of 2008, while continuing to work with professional translators from all over Europe.
Austrian native, born and raised in Graz, in the southern province of Styria. Sometime before taking my finals at a commercial college, I came across a leaflet about the translation profession - and made up my mind to become a translator. Before starting university in Graz, I spent a gap year as an au pair in London, a place that is definitely high up on my ranking of top-ten capital cities.
Some personal stuff:
Loves (almost) everything British, cats, sports (running, hiking, inline skating), flowers and dark chocolate, good food & fine wine (to name a few interests)
